Today I am typing with one hand as Scooter has taken up residence on my chest and lap to stop me from doing anything but loving him! Scooter is doing okay today and busy watching the kitty's play from his new Momma perch. He seems happy but his breathing is a little labored. My Vet called to let me know she is available by phone or text anytime for him. Anything he needs is available. I decided to forgo my Saturday shopping and spend that time here with Scooter instead. although normally I would turn the heat off in this weather I have left it on for Scooter.

Jack was loving on Scooter last night and cleaning him up. Jacks numbers are so great right now! the 1.75 seems to be his magic dose these days. As some of you noted yesterday thank God Jack is doing great! All his P's are in good shape and he is happy as a lark watching his yard from his window. You never know when a squirrel will come along to yell at!

All kinds of hugs to you all for your Support!

it's +9 and Jacks numbers are a little low today. Should I shoot later or just wait and see what the next 3 hours bring?

Sounds like a lovely way to spend the day - snuggling your dear Scooter and watching Jack enjoy life. It's good to appreciate these things and not dwell on the others.

You have a wonderful, supportive vet! How lucky you are! Sending vines for Scooter and hugs for you. :bighug:

bump to get eyes on Jacks numbers please.

I would wait and see what happens. He might have a small bounce from the lows, or not. With Levemir, the nadir is often later which means shooting lower numbers. Neko often nadirs at or near preshot. Correspondingly, the onset is later so I have quite a few hours where she goes up after shot time.

I love the image of Scooter on your chest. :bighug: I once had an old arthritic guy that loved to do that, and I was tempted to buy a snuggly for him. It's so sweet of Jack to love on him too.

I keep wishing I had paid attention when my Mum was teaching me to knit. Scooter would have a coat right away! LOL

don't forget that with the tests in the 40's today, he's earned a dose reduction to 1.5u. Did you shoot 1.75u tonight as the ss says, or is that just typed from habit?

Some people who have kitties that are back from the falls consider them as long term diabetics and follow the method of 3 drops below 50 or once below 40 before doing a reduction. Jack's been looking pretty green though, you might not have to do that.

and good morning all you lovely rested people. Happy Easter!
So I of course he didn't drop all night and I stayed up to make sure. Ugh. I think I will reduce him today even though he didn't slide down low low tonight. I have a lot to get done today with lots of family so I won't be able to watch him as close. I also must have a nap today. that is of course of the next hour and a half go well.
