Blood Results interpretation...some help please...

I got the blood work back from my vet, she hasn't called yet to go over the results. Some of the things (WBC/RBC) will have to be done over due to insufficient amounts...but I have some questions..

Could any of you take a look at my my labs, in my signature for the spreadsheet? I requested my blood work results prior to vet calling me so I could turn to you informative folks for some any pertinent questions I might want to ask. for the most part this vet ( and I do love her) has looked at my Skinky as needing palliative care. She is surprised that my girl has lasted this long and is still in reasonable shape (in that she shows a lot of curiousity at the vet's and keeps wanting to jump from the table...never seems like a kitty wanting to "let go" of life...) But she is increasingly getting tired and weak.

Just thought you all might have some insights into the blood work. Calcium in still high and her lymphocytes are no longer high, but now her monocytes are registering. high sodium as well, high WBC, her potassium has gone done (yay!)..

what do you think? any thoughts as to specific questions I should ask vet when she calls??

Her potassium has gone down, Yay! Did her trembling stop?
I'm not an expert on blood work, but to me her kidney values look pretty good.
Let us know what the retest for the WBC and RBC are.

well it subsided significantly from when I first posted about the tremors...vet hasn't called yet w/ analysis. i'd like to do the retest...can't get much blood out of skinky these days, so i know that's an issue...

she's out exploring the hallway now. when the neighbors see her, i have to explain what's going on w/ her and how this is a big deal - exploring the hallway - and i'm trying to 'stimulate' her...don't want the neighbors to complain about the scary looking cat in the hallway...

I'm glad her tremors have subsided.

I think that's great that you're giving her some stimulation. I hope she enjoys the outing. I would keep your door open and listen for neighbors in the hallway and go out there right away if you hear people. I wouldn't want any of your neighbors to call animal control on you. If it's only 10 or 15 minutes, maybe you could sit in a chair out there and be with her and watch her as she explores

Please let us know what the vet says about her blood work.

High white count could indicate an infection. Are antibiotics being given.

Another thing I noticed is the high calcium. Did your vet suggest an Ionized Calcium test to explore the cause? We just went through that with Squeaker last November. I would suggest that you change foods. When I changed foods the calcium fell back into the normal range. I don't want to scare you but high calcium can be indicative of cancer or it can be idiopathic.

Also the high sodium. Again, explore foods with a lower sodium than the ones you are feeding now.

But to reassure you the kidney values are very good.
