6am scarf'n'barf, my favorite way to wake up  It's my own fault! I passed out hard after my last pm test and forgot to put out her nighttime snack. I had a hungry cat dancing around on my head and yelling at 3:45am, which was too close to AMPS to feed her. As much as I tried to slow her down, she still ate too fast and I got to stay up pacing her breakfast rather than getting to go back to sleep after shot time. :banghead::coffee: I expect the later breakfast + tail end of the bounce contributed to the yellow +3.
Off to get more coffee and clean the ice off my car to get my workday started. I normally like not having to be in an office and driving around all day, but not after an ice storm!

hope the roads are thawing....
guess you have to dirty several dishes with smaller servings.....
The roads were actually fine! Lets hope the evening rush hour ice tomorrow doesn't do much damage either!

With the smaller servings I actually just give her small amounts from the can into the same dish as she eats it. Or pull it up every few minutes and give it back. Anything to avoid extra dishes! Unless this isn't a good way...

I'm glad to see you're primping, Noodle, but it couldn't hurt to be a little more ladylike! You even watched Downton Abbey last night!

Awwwwww, love her little bald drumstick!

That'll teach you to forget her nightime snack Bahahahaha. To prevent the scarf and barf in those very hungry circumstances you probably want to leave at least 10-15 mins between servings and/or you could try spreading her food across a plate. I haven't tried that but have heard of others doing it, sounds good in theory because they can only lick it up so fast, nowhere near as fast as they can gobble down chunks of food.

@Vyktors Mum I feel like her fur is never going to grow back! Haha. I still get startled when I see her still kind-of-bald tummy and think "oh no! she's losing fur!"

So.. these numbers... Tomorrow morning will be cycle 6 after the green + BCS; and 5 days since I started 1U. If I don't see movement, do I dosecrease again? Or am I waiting 8-10 cycles after the green/BCS, instead of the original increase to 1u?

You've got it, possibly 10 since she's pretty new to greens, particularly if she sees green again during the 8 cycles, unless of course she goes under 50. Ask again when she's on her 8th.

But to clarify - the count doesn't start again after a green number

Understood, it's the BCS that reset it.

Just called and made Noodle an appointment with her vet for Friday morning. She's still having some light colored, very runny diarrhea along with some normal stool and I'm just too worried. I emailed the vet to see if I should bring her in sooner and just see a different doctor, but made the appointment for Friday just in case. I'm starting to get pretty worried and am helicoptering like crazy :/

Her nekked little leg and belly are pretty danged cute!

Punkin scarfed down everything. Didn't barf, but i was always trying to slow him down. One suggestion that someone made to me was to put a golf ball in the food so they have to work around it. I washed a walnut (in the shell) and put it in the plate. Then I kept finding that walnut all over the kitchen because it made an awesome toy. ;)

Here's the guidelines on increasing per TR:
Increasing the dose:
  • Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit.
    • if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
    • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.
  • After 3 days (6 consecutive cycles)... if nadirs are greater than 200, but less than 300 increase the dose by 0.25 unit.
  • After 3 days (6 consecutive cycles)... if nadirs are greater than 300 increase the dose by 0.5 unit.
After the 6 consecutive cycles (post BCS), i'd be watching and deciding when i should increase. If everything else is over 200, i'd only wait 6 cycles. If overall you're seeing green nadirs regularly (not just one random one) i'd lean more towards holding the dose the 10 cycles.
