I say, never say never. Just look at Blackie. I am pretty sure he was dx with p'titis, and he is now on day 2 of otj! And thats after 5 years! So, keep up the great job you are doing, and like Amy said, he is feeling good and thats what matters the most, and his numbers are great imho.
 
I think Blackie had his first p'itis but Max has had it for over 5 years. From all my reading it is likely the cause of his diabetes and I just don't think his pancreas can heal. I had a slight hope until this last episode. I think it's why there wasn't a dramatic change after his dental. He doesn't have 5 years given his age. It's okay. If he can stay under 200 the majority of the time it should keep him healthier. I'm not complaining, just a reality check. Have a great day off Laura!

Yes, he is! Pretty darned fine, Elise. Even if the chronic p'titis blocks remission, your guy is doing great. Thanks to his bean! I think that's worth celebrating!

So weird. At 5.5 he's 56 and an hour later already 83.

Antibiotics may or may not be working but my mom is having a fit since last night about not wanting to be followed around. This is sooo hard. Max is safe so I'm going over there to help out.:arghh::(:eek:

I truly hope that Max goes to the OTJ Trial period like Blackie. I hope that all of the kitties on here make it to the OTJ Trial period, and beyond. Hang in there, Elise.:bighug: You're doing a wonderful job with Max, and you're a very attentive Mama Bean, just like the rest of us.
 
Max is looking good today. Don't give up hope on going OTJ. You never know. As others have said, the most important thing is that he's feeling good.

I was so tired that I was a bad girl and went to sleep after that +almost 6. I offered Max food which he turned down so I picked it up and went to bed. I see you were up most of the night and hope you got to sleep in this morning.
