Good morning all,

Thaiger woke me up this morning screaming at me which is an indication that she is starving - sure enough, she was out of food. I tested her BG before feeding her and it was at 60. It seems to be getting lower every day if you look at my spreadsheet. Is 60 a concerning number for a cat that has been off of insulin for 96 hours?

oh whew! So 60 ON insulin is concerning but OFF insulin, it's fine?
For a cat off insulin this is pretty perfect!
For a cat on insulin this number would also be OK (at the peak of the cycle) if the caregiver has good control of their cat's diabetes (but it may be too low for some folks to aim for).

It's looking good for Thaiger, Katie!

My mental arithmetic is pants. 96 hours is four days, not two. Duh! All going well, we might have that party two days earlier ...

Fingers and paws crossed in the Shire. :)

I had the same question, I'm glad the response is that this is good news! Trixie has been hanging in the greens the last six days (would be eight but for one high reading), and has even been high 40s (no concerning symptoms).
Great news, Scarlett :D,

Would you like to start your own thread so folks can follow Trixie's countdown and cheer her on..?
