Nope. The meter isn't stuck. Miss Polly is! Flat, flat, flat. But....blue. Hmm? What might that portend?

Busy day here. House needs lots of work; I need lots of sleep; Boomer goes to the clinic at work for a senior wellness exam.

A little, long-haired white kitty with blue eyes, he came with the house when I moved here over 13 years ago. Previous owners just left him. He showed up, like an apparition, my first morning here when I took the dog out to the backyard dog-run. He just appeared, almost from nowhere. Turned out, he'd been spending his nights under the workshop in the back yard. And crawled out to say "hi, new person." Neighbors had been feeding him and clued me in on his history.

Smart little dude. Outside kitty, snow white. Coyote country. Little bugger survived for at least a year with the odds stacked against him. And the shed offered good hiding space.
It wasn't long before he decided being on the bed beat being under the shed.

He's showing a little wear now and it's time for his six month exam.

Company for dinner. So, yes. Busy.

Vines and wishes.

Marilyn and Polly

Busy day for sure. Sending lots of good vetty vines for sweet, smart Boomer!! Blue flatness is quite nice...maybe a little green flatness next, Polly? Have a great day, Marilyn!

Love Polly's story. I wasn't aware of how you got her. Vetty vines for Boomer. Green hopes for Polly.

I wish flat blue meant green, but I haven't seen that with Furball. Maybe Polly will be different and give you that green. Sending good vetty vines for Boomer, a very smart kitty and lucky to have you move in.

Marilyn, my eyes are filled with tears! (And I have to go out pretty soon, thanks a lot LOL) How can people be so cruel so as to abandon a kitty like this!!! :(:arghh: Kudos, big time Kudos to you for your big, loving heart!! Hugs and scritches to your crew, but please give an extra big hug to Boomer from Tiger and I!

Those pretty blues look awfully close to green to me- good thing you're doing the cooking! :D

I had some neighbours do the abandon kitty when they moved too - disgusting. Even more so since it was the child of their cat that they'd irresponsibly let breed. The smoke is coming out of my ears again just thinking about it. But like your Boomer he knew who to turn to and I did find a happily ever after for him.

Hey Boomer, you come to see me after de vet. You can hav a wash in my special gum leaf likor to get the vetty stench off den we drink sum and go out to play Whoo hoo we party like kittens ok - Vyktor

Boomer's story is all too familiar. Our Alice was also abandoned when her people moved (happens all the time in Brooklyn). We rescued her from a gang of little boys chasing after her with sticks. She was so happy to have a home. Her home was the most important thing to her. We never knew how old she was, but she lived with us for 11 years. A very sweet, small, black kitty. She looked like a bowling ball. She had a phenomenal mind for music.

Here's to you, Boomer. Have a good vetty visit!

Enjoy your dinner party, Marilyn,

Polly, Rusty is waitingnfor you in the lagoon,

Ella & Rusty

Sad story, but happy ending - the best kind. I have never understood how someone could have abandoned Cinco, either, but they did. Sometimes I just hate people. I'm glad you moved into Boomer's furever home! :)

Well, I like flat Polly, blue Polly a lot better than flat Polly, yellow Polly!

mean people. i can't even imagine abandoning a furry friend. what are people thinking when they do that?

how lucky for Boomer that you bought his house. Miss polly looks pretty good today! woot for flat & blue!
