Pink sky at morning; bean, take warning. Maybe. Then again, maybe not! Surprised by the +7=112 when I got home from work this afternoon. Elevator going up? Or going down? Was the AM pink the high before the break? Does Polly like chicken?

I can answer one of those questions.

Right now, the girl is in a big Chewy.com box behind the loveseat. I know because she's batting around a plastic ball I put in there last night. And every now and then, there's a little chirp ... Someone's feeling spunky.

OK, I shot a 69 once at AMPS, but she was coming up. Will wait a bit (15 minutes) and see what's happening.

Yes, she's earned a reduction. Take it now. Half dose to drain the depot?

You'd think I'd know this by now. But she really just caught me off guard.

Appreciate any advice. But can muddle through.

If I was you and able to monitor closely and had all necessary supplies on hand I would shoot - that being said I have to say that I can't be around today to keep an eye on you because I've got to go and do shopping etc for Purrdys arrival

Thanks. No, because she's an SRT kitty (acro), she earns reductions below 70. I will shoot. No doubt. Probably go with 4.0 from our current 4.5. And wait for the bounce!!!!

OMG he is almost on his way, mum leaves for the airport in about 30 mins. I have felt like vomiting all morning - and yesterday! Lucky I will be kepts busy with preps while he's flying. I think Mum and I are both going to feel so much better when he arrives...

Thank you, Suzanne. I went with 3.0U. Looked at spreadsheet a lot to see what happened in similar situations. She'll still probably go up and up for a bit. And tomorrow, we'll take the reduction.

You know, though. I kept hearing a woman I admire enormously and have learned so much from saying, "I shoot 50." So....I waited until she came up to 70!

WOOT! The lowest I ever shot on Lantus was a 63. FWIW, I stopped the below 70 rule and went to the standard below 50 rule once Neko stalled and wasn't racing down. It was around 3.5U. At that point you don't have to worry about the large depot anymore. And I didn't do the reduced dose following a reduction - but Neko pretty consistently bounced. Polly is on what I'd call a medium sized dose now.

very nice!

i might only reduce to 4.25u in the morning if i were you. looking back to 1/20 when there was a similar cycle, reducing to 4.0 resulted in 2 weeks of higher numbers and having to go back up again to 4.5u before she got to green again.

but my 2 cents worth is free - just thought i'd throw that out there.

You had me on the floor with this one. Yup, I remember. And, hey, I scoop dog and cat poo, scrape dried cat vomit off floors and tables and beds, haul 40 pound sacks of turkey scratch, clean cat snot off windows, pluck dingleberries off the Forest cat, etc....all in a day's work. I do believe I also qualify for "unelegant!"
