My goodness, Rooh....you are quite the bouncer and diver, aren't you? Let's bring it on down, surf it, and stay there, OK??

Have a great day, Mel!

The more time the cat spends in normal green numbers, the more their pancreas/liver will learn that it's OK to be there. The only thing you can do is wait, and try to keep him at a dose where he keeps getting as much time as possible in normal numbers. When you first see Rooh get into green numbers, give him a couple tsp of low carb food, and that will often encourage a good long surf.

Bouncing is frustrating. I speak from experience. It was very hard at the beginning for me. Then I realized that the reason they are bouncing is that you are being successful at getting them into good numbers. So, it's the cat's reaction to a good thing. Over time the bounces will get shorter and lower. The saying is that the cats bounce until they don't.

Thanks Wendy - that gives me hope and I appreciate the reminder on the lc food upon hitting green. I can use all the reminders yall want to throw my way, Im tired, old and forgetful.;)

Hi Mel and Rooh!

You asked about the Prime in our 'crash condo'. I get more errors with the Prime than with the Micro usually due to not getting enough blood the first time. The Micro and Confirm seemed to have less 'better recheck that' numbers but that could be my imagination.

Thanks for visiting our condo! Check his ssheet now and see if you can see the rest of 2014 - I don't know if I have to 'republish' it or not.

He is on his downswing at +12. I went ahead and gave his shot but reduced from 3.25 to 3u.

Why did you reduce? We normally don't reduce until they earn a reduction by going under 50. You can go back to 3.25U tomorrow morning.

Wendy I really don't know . I'm just stressing out tonight. Had a bad day, it started with drawing his dose this am and having major brain fog and suddenly I couldn't remember how i measure his dose! I was 99% sure i was doing it right but that 1% was eating at me... it's my hormones. My day just went downhill from there. When I saw he was just starting his downswing at PMPS I stressed and the idea of reducing it made me feel better.

A good idea to help with giving the right dose is to make up a sample syringe of the dose you should be giving (using coloured water) to compare to the shot that you draw.

Tomorrow will be a better day :)

Your avatar has such a cute pic of Rooh!

Just wanted to stop by to say it's ok. We've all been there. We've all reduced the dose at some time or another for no other reason that reducing made us feel better.
Hang in there. You'll get back on track tomorrow.
