Is it possible he's bouncing or off since I gave partial fur shot yesterday AM. Numbers not dropping today.
I know it's too early to increase since we missed yesterday.
ALSO are the other syringes with half markings that are not so flimsy. I got the ones at Walmart everyone recommends, relion. I don't like and habe hard time knowing I'm injecting. Anything better to try.

Whew! The cycle today is likely as the result of the fur shot. I find with Neko that the results of the fur shot are seen a cycle or two after I do it.

Other syringes that people here have used are the Monoject and BD syringes. Terumo used to be popular, until they were discontinued. I use BD, cause that's all that's available in Canada. I've heard the Relion has a fatter barrel, which make it harder to get those in between doses. You can get good prices on syringes shopping on line at ADW. If you go there from the shopping page here, FDMB gets a percent of the sale. For more thoughts on syringes, add "Syringe ?" to your subject line and you might get some more thoughts on what's available in the US.

ADW has several other brands that have half unit markings. I don't know if any members have tried them, but there is a link on Tess's SS to a list I made of all of them when the Terumos were discontinued. Many of us stocked up then so haven't experimented w/ many other brands.

Thanks. I'll look into other ones. Know it's everyone has own favorite type. I assume all U100 syringes measure the same unit wise, it's just needle length and gauge that's different ? My neighbor has Walgreens 29 gauge, 0.3mL, 1/2 inch needle syringes she said I could try. Have half unit markings. Those would work wouldn't they. He's on 1.5U 9f levemir

Just gave PM shot. Used the 29 gauge syringe. He didn't flinch. Much easier to use in our case. Will use again in morning, a new syringe but that gauge.

Tomorrow I can only test +4 and +7 after morning shot. Working but running home at lunch to check him.

Some people have found that there is slight differences in amount of insulin from one brand of syringes to the next. That shouldn't make a big difference to Milo in the numbers he's in now, but it does in a cat that's regularly getting green.

The +4 and +7 tests should be good for tomorrow.
