We are settling into the routine of meds, feeding, fluids and bath time (wiping down). Booger looks a little distended and I'm not sure if it's an inflammatory process.. Constipation issue or fluid accumulation.. I've talked to the vet every day.. He seems to think the constipation is related to decreased input and wants to monitor a couple days.. She goes back on Friday. She seems to be feeling ok but uncomfortable.. No vomiting, urinating normally.. Nothing else new to report. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers, and guidance.

Sending tons and tons of healing vines and good vetty vines for Friday! It is mind boggling how time consuming it is to be CG to an ailing kitty, my heart goes out to you! How is Bogger's appetite? Are you giving probiotics such as Fortaflora for example? Metronidiazole can be constipating, at least it was for my Tiger. I asked my vet and was approved to give a big of organic pumpkin(no sugar!) to add a little fiber and fortaflora, and it helped immensely.

Yes, poor girl.. She has no appetite. Sniffs the food and looks away. She's being assist fed and doing well with it. No probiotics or pumpkin but I will check into that, thank you!

Sniffing and walking away usually signals nausea - I think I noted she is getting Cerenia? or is it Ondansetron? You might ask your vet about increasing either one? I hope you are holding up okay too, this is super stressful I know! :bighug::bighug:

She is on cerenia. Yes, I plan to ask about it.. I know Elise was saying she may need a switch to the Ondansetron or addition.. I'm a mess.. I worry about her all day long.. I'm very thankful for all of you as a sounding board..

More prayers piling on from us, too. If you are assist feeding, I would think she'd be pooping...how long has it been? You don't want her to get too backlogged....

Feel better, Booger!
