Not much new news. Booger seems to be doing as good as can be expected. The nausea has seemed to improve some with the implementation of the capsule (metronidazole). I had to work today but my husband was able to assist feed her and give her all her meds. I gave her fluids as soon as I got home and she seemed pretty perky this evening. Still hoping for a considerable turn around.

I'm glad she is feeling a little better but metronidazole is not for nausea. It is for infection. What you want for nausea is either cerenia or ondansetron. The inappetence is likely to continue without one of those drugs.

so glad your DH is in with this too :) sending Booger plenty more vines.

Not sure if you mentioned how she got her name because I cant trace back without a link. Sorry everyone else probably knows already but I'm just back on the board recently and dying of curiosity...

Yes, I mean with your suggestion of the capsules... Rather than the liquid that was making her projectile vomit.. Sorry for the confusion.. She's at least keeping it down.. She is on the Cerenia for nausea. Thanks!

:bighug:

glad to hear she's making improvement!
Yes, I'll take any improvement! She now doesn't want to have a bowel movement. Which, I'm sure is painful.. And she doesn't have any solid food on her belly either.. I wouldn't be concerned of this if her belly didn't look distended. No vomiting. I'm not sure if this is inflammatory process or another issue brewing.. We are headed back to the vet for a recheck this week so hopefully he can guide us.

Yes, he has been involved since her diagnosis with diabetes which has made her care so much more consistent with my crazy schedule.

Lol.. I tell people I wish it were more glamorous, her name.. My niece named her after the spot on her nose.. Poor girl.. But it stuck and she doesn't care..
