Saw his AMPS and rang mum to tell her I thought we needed new insulin, she said hang on I'm about to test, my little inner voice is telling me to test - her little inner voice is good :D Even for Purrdy this is a big drop - just when you think you know how they're going to behave :eek:

I'm now wondering whether he didn't surf last night as has been his habit and instead went lower than expected. We'll see what he's doing at +3

Meanwhile - I'm sunburnt! I only baked for an hour each side and left the beach by 11am but my front - ouch! Can someone send me some of that snow you've been having!

I think you might be right about last night. Does your mom know about comparing a +2 to preshot numbers for an indicator of how fast the cat's BGs are moving, or a heads-up if the cat's cycle is more than the typical active cycle? It might be more helpful if she gets a +2 instead of a +3 (although I always got a +3 too). Just a thought.

i have stepped barefoot on those disgustig slugs. right between my toes. It is repulsive beyond belief. but . . . oh the other hand, maybe that slime would be helpful for sunburn. :smuggrin: I just read something recently about that slime being collected for use in French cosmetics - supposed to be great for the complexion. :eek:
 
Woo hoo. Go Purrdy. :D I wish we had some snow to send you. This has been a disappointing winter so far. I hope your sunburn heals quickly.

As for the sunburn....no clue. No slugs, no fog, no rain, no snow. Just clear blue sky and wonderful 50s temps.

Bring on the slugs :) my veganess loves them all and I have also heard that their slime is great for the skin. Must tell you all about my snail hospital one of these days...

Yes, she knows that is a 'normal cat' thing BUT Purrdy exercises his right to be different in that respect. He usually has a good drop by +2 (around 30 or even 40 percent) and then surfs it- like he did today so I've given up on getting too excited about a big +2 drop for him. It seems he is an early onset kitty.
