Recap:
AMPS 171
+3 112
+6 121
PMPS 151
+4 99 - whoo hoo first green!!

We are thrilled that Purrdy has had his first green, even if it was only his little toe that he dipped into the lagoon.

But - I am wondering if that's enough for us to take the dosecrease off the table and give this dose a couple more cycles. This morning is his 6th cycle at 1.5u. I'm predicting blues as his AM cycles are a little higher than his PM cycles. I'm wondering if we go ahead and incease by .25 tonight, perhaps unless we do get green today - your thoughts...

Here's what the protocol guidelines say:

Increasing the dose:
  • Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit.
    • if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
    • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.
I think I'd give him 10 cycles and see what he's doing at that point.

He's doing fantastic!

Sometime maybe you can sneak in a recent picture of Vyktor - little update, you know?!

WOOT! Paws crossed he finds green again on this dose!

Love the green theme pic!

Good call on no increase ladies :D not just a toe this time - he's up to his knees :D

And in other excellent news - for the first time in months Purrdy asked to be taken out for a walk. He just wanted a little one but he didn't need to be carried at all and wasn't so far down on his hocks. Also for the first time in weeks he managed to get himself out into the cat run - he hasn't been able to do it because of the jump up to the first step. Mum took Dolly out to encourage her to use the outside plumbing (she much prefers to wait until the night tray comes out ) and found the lavatory was already occupied :woot: there were tears! I don't want to count our chickens but it looks like the increased methyl B12 may be having some effect. Mum did comment tonight that sometimes when she breaks the capsules into his food the contents turns pink and sometimes it doesn't so we're wondering whether perhaps the dose of active ingredients within each capsule isn't consistent with this brand, maybe turning green has something to do with it too?

Whatever the reason - things are looking up for Purrdy :D:woot::D:woot::D

Wendy - I think that kermie has been into the energy drinks - he's nuts!!!!
