Happy Fursday!!! Tons of vines to all in need today and we hope Neko is recovering nicely from her extensive dental work yesterday. Now she has all good toofies and gums!

LBG was happy and purry this morning until the door installers started using a grinder on the back metal door. She wasn't too keen on that noise! She and Tobes had been glued to the back inside, glass door watching them but neither of them liked all the noise. Door is now installed, things are quiet, all kitties are happy as are the beans. It's a cold and cloudy day today so I imagine it will be a good day for catnapping.

We are on a record 43 cycles on a dose. While we keep thinking we're going to take her dose up to stop the daytime bounces, we really don't want her nadir, which just happens to be at night, any lower than it is right now. If we get aggressive with the dosing, she runs a lot lower on the nadir and we are just past the point of wanting her to run in the 40s/50s. We're just as happy if she nadirs in the 70-100 range at this point. But in order to let her do that, we have to tolerate the bounces. All we can do is be patient and hope the bounces will gradually decrease.

Thank you all for visiting yesterday and especially those of you who posted after I got home from work (Rachel, Tricia, Josie, Ann, Molly, Ruth). I have to admit on my work days (which are always long), I come home, eat dinner, and I'm asleep before I know it!:):)

We didn't give any R today. We've been wanting to see Night at the Museum and so we are headed out here shortly to do just that! Have a great day.

Wow, 43 cycles on a dose. That's a lot! But it does speak well for consistency and regulation. I'm glad Gracie is doing so well on this dose and I hope the bounces smooth out soon.

I'll bet the grinder noise hurt those delicate little ears. I know my kitties hate that kind of sound and it bothers my ears, so I just imagine what it's doing to theirs. I'm sure you're all glad the work is finished.

I hope you and Mike enjoy the movie.

Could it be true that after all these years, the patience pants are finally staying put :woot::woot::joyful::joyful::kiss:?!?!? Sometimes I think constant dose-tweaking makes the bouncing worse....Gracie always looks awesome these days. I don't blame the kitties for not liking that grinder noise....I'm not a fan of that sort of thing either, Gracie and Tobey. Enjoy the movie!!!

Wow, 43 cycles on a dose. Impressive. Seems like something's working!

Sleep well kitties; beans are out for the day, no need to amuse them. Rest up for some performance art tonight.

That is amazing 43 cycles on this dose- Go Gracie! Hope you had an okay day back at work yesterday and a great day and evening Marje! :joyful:

:smuggrin:I know!!! I can hardly believe it myself!!! I also don't want to jinx it ;)

:joyful::joyful:Ruth...if you only knew!!! I am the queen of wearing through patience pants at light speed.

Thanks to all for the visits....we did see the movie and it was really good....light and funny!

Oh oh, I hope you didn't jinx it. :p I think I remember the same thing happened last time you commented on the record length of time on a dose.

Slow and steady Gracie - no need to rush in.

Good to hear you got out to a movie - and didn't use R. ;)

Wow Ms. Grace....no need to be so dramatic, your cycle has a full 12 hours in it....feel free to stretch your slide out a bit....now why don't you go ahead and surf this for a bit...even come up just ever so slightly maybe?

I know:rolleyes::rolleyes: I thought about that later! Sheesh!

Hey Molly....:) Since Gracie is on lev, she often nadirs at +14 or +15 and then onsets so if she's low at +14 or so, I do try to get her up or she will drop at onset. Wouldn it be nice if she read the lev manual and just stayed flat.;)

I forget that Lev has the later nadir....it would be nice if they read the information....I mean we have it everywhere for them to see....;)

Could it be that someone finally invested in the Kevlar patience pants?

bahahahaha I have Kevlar pants for the motorbike but they're not sexy like the yellow patience pants - can't see you in them Marje! Glad you had the opportunity to enjoy a movie today, nice for the beans to get date time :) hope Gracie doesn't keep you up too late.

I think someone finally invested in reality ;). Seriously, I do think when one is new at this and has high hopes for remission, it's harder to be patient. Smarter, yes...but harder. We all want our cats in remission. Once one lets the reality of "no remission" sink in, then things change. We don't like the bounces only because we don't want her above renal threshold, but they no longer rule our lives. Maybe we finally see the bigger picture.....

I can so relate to not wanting FD to rule your lives. You both are amazing!
