We are so very saddened by sweet Calley's crossing. Kris was an amazing bean to her sweet girl...such a sad week for them.
Another slightly lower start for Trix this morning...maybe she heard my request for this being a new trend! All the usuals...happy appy, snuggly, and feisty...with a heavy emphasis on "feisty" today. It was inevitable...our gelcap luck ran out this morning. We had hisses. We had swats. We had growls. We had wild eyes. We had "Get AWAY from me, Mama!!!" We had repacks. We had lots of breaks to regroup. We had a stressed out MamaBean who desperately wanted a BTB but couldn't take it because of the gelcap delays. We had it all....it finally went down almost 45 minutes late. I've said it before: I hate those stupid pills and would give my right arm to do these meds in an injection!
But we'll get past it. Fortunately mornings like this are few and far between these days, but when they hit, it really throws me for a loop.
Last night, she was extra-extra snuggly. She actually slept on my legs on the couch for well over an hour. I think this is an absolute first! She always snuggles when I'm at the computer....it's usually intense-but-short...she's all lovey-rubby-dubby, but she doesn't settle in. The last week or so, she started visiting while I was on the couch...just for a minute or so. But last night, she decided to stay! Zen joined her, too, so I was very pinned down with nice warm kitty bodies.Civvie Petey has been doing the same thing, and although saying he loves attention is an understatement, he's never been that kind of lap cat, either. I wonder what has gotten into them?
Being back at work yesterday...well, no other/polite way to put it...it sucked. I am fortunate to be in a business that I enjoy, but I am VERY burnt out on my partnership. I'm desperate to be on my own...we have another 13 months on our lease, though. It's going to be tough.
Anyway...time to get moving. Have a great day, LL!

Sorry about the gelcap...
Luckily, it doesn't seem to happy often, so I'm sure you'll both get past it quickly.
