Hi L&L!

Eddie seems to be doing well so far with the dosecrease to 0.5. He'd earned a reduction while we were traveling and we took the full quarter unit from 0.625 down to 0.325, but he started to trend up a bit, so I'm hopeful that 0.5 is a nice dose to bring his numbers back down some while avoiding those exciting +2 drops into the 30's and 40's. :nailbiting: I've learned that Eddie does like to take his time "settling" into a dose, and it really seems to make a difference when we can hold him flat even for a handful of cycles. He's a bit lower today than yesterday, so hopefully that downward trend will continue!

It's almost time for Eddie's annual check-up, and I'm excited to show our techs/vet Eddie's SS which has recently become so much flatter! Last time we were at the vet's office, we learned that Eddie was something of a celebrity. Two other techs other than the one we were meeting with popped in to see his SS and to hear about our strategy with Lantus TR.

In theory, we were supposed to go out of town again over New Years, but DH and I (and Eddie) have decided that staying home sounds so much better than traveling again.

Have a good evening everyone!

I'm impressed with how well Eddie is doing. I bet you never thought he would be doing so well on just .5 units of insulin. You have done such a good job with him!!

Looks like Eddie might be poised for a bit of surfing tonight. :D Good to see him back on track.

It's great that you can show off a nicer SS for Eddie. My vetty still keeps the first SS I printed off at the top of Neko's folder and I just want to rip it out and trash it. That was her black and red period.

I like your New Years plans. Staying home and snuggling with kitties is the top of my to-do list too.

Hi Carla! Thanks for visiting!

I'm sure everyone at the vet will be impressed with how well Eddie is doing.

We've been very fortunate with our vet. Other than a little push back very, very early on, our vet has been hands-off on allowing us to do what we want to in regards to Eddie's dosing, and has been extremely supportive of both what we previously did with ProZinc, and what we switched to in doing TR.

Hi Elise! Thanks for your visit. I definitely did not think we'd get to this point! I thought he'd bounce forever. I seriously thought that "they bounce until they don't" was just a saying, but it appears to actually be true. :D

Hi Wendy! Mr. Greenie has come to visit. Looks like Eddie's planning to have a decent cycle tonight. Hopefully he will decide it's not necessary to bounce. I hear ya on the bad spreadsheets in the vet folder LOL. It's kind of like a bad report card that's stuck in your personal file.
