About Us

Felinediabetes.com is a free educational resource and online forum community helping caregivers managing feline diabetes. With decades of experience, our mission is to help every diabetic cat live a longer, healthier and happier life.

Felinediabetes.com and the Feline Diabetes Message Board (FDMB) was founded in 1996 by Rebecca Price MD, a human physician. She and her husband shared their home with several cats, most notably Austin, Eugene (“Gene”) and Ripley. Austin and Eugene were the original inspiration behind much of the site’s educational content.

What began as a small online community has grown into the longest running and most respected feline diabetes community in the world. Thousands of caregivers have turned to FDMB for guidance and support.

FDMB has always been powered by volunteers. Experienced members generously share their time and knowledge to welcome newbies, answer questions, and help caregivers navigate the home management of FD. We have volunteers from all around the world. This is almost always someone available to offer guidance or offer a listening ear.

Today, Felinediabetes.com and the FDMB continues the mission that Rebecca began nearly three decades ago. As veterinary medicine continues to evolve, so does our community. The site has undergone significant modernization. Including an upgraded forum software, and the launch of the dedicated iOS and Android mobile apps. These improvements make it easier for caregivers around the world to get support when they need it.
