J.D. is doing fine. Purry and friendly, and ate his breffis.
I have to go to tbp today, but feel comfortable leaving him with these numbers.

Yes, I can be home. Can I give the R now? It last about 4 hours in him and peaks at +2.5.
Otherwise, I will go out shopping (to return stuff). I have to work early again tomorrow, so don't want to have to wait too late to give the R.

Hey Dyana,

I don't know the right answer to that, so I'm trying to contact someone to help you. Did Jojo normally suggest that you wait witjh J.D. until an hour or two past his PS (I thought that was J.D.)? Have you ever used it at this time in the cycle before?

Thanks Jill. That was really nice of you to dig that up for me. It was a long post and I read through half of it so far.

Cassandra, I have not given him R at this time before. In the beginning, I was told by Jojo to give R at +2 or +3 because J.D. would sometimes dive bomb a lot after PS time. But, this time, I think he is reacting to the blues last night and this morning, and is just going into RBC, and I think it would help if I gave him some R right now. He only goes down 50 to 150 points when I give him a little, and I have plenty of room for that. Okay to shoot some R? I feel comfortable with it.

I'm glad I gave some R when I did.

 

I think what you want to avoid with R is giving it when he would normally be dropping from the basil dose. As he was still rising you were probably safe. My confusion (not to add to yours) is around predicting when rebound might break and BG starts to come down because that's hard to factor into your curve. JD's SS is a confusion right now, hard to see what his curve is doing. (And don't look at KB's for clarification, his is wonky right now, too.)
