Weezer filled my heart with joy this morning! She came to bed for snuggles in the wee hours. She used to sleep with me all the time, but about a year ago she suddenly stopped. She wouldn't even get on the bed. If put on the bed, she tensed up and ran away as soon as possible. We speculated that maybe she got a static shock from the bed covers. Looking back I see there were other subtle changes in her behavior at that time. It was several months before the FD diagnosis, but I think maybe she was already feeling strange and was changing her behavior to try to find ways to feel better. This morning was the first time she returned to bed snuggles, with much purring and chin nibbles. It wasn’t about breakfast. Auto feeder is in charge of breakfast 1 and was open and untouched. That is remarkable in itself. Her numbers don’t show it yet, but I think she is feeling more like herself. DH cautions me about practicing cat psychology, but that’s what I’m thinking.

I think you may be right . Don't you love seeing her do the "old normal" again! Weezer's numbers will follow. I noticed the same type of behavior with Ollie. They must feel lousy as the FD takes hold :sad: . I do know that as a positive side effect...Ollie and I have a much stronger bond now...bet you see that with Weezer too!

I love hearing about kitties feeling better and your story warmed my heart this morning. You must have been so thrilled when Weezer jumped on the bed. A year is a long time to miss having your sweet Weezer on the bed. And I think you should continue practicing cat psychology. Our cats are so confusing so we have to try and figure out why they do the things they do.

Hi guys .. Oh what a sweet report on weezer! I loved seeing all the small changes, for the good, in mocha when she started feeling better .. getting up on the backs of the toilets waiting for us while we were in the shower .. sleeping by my head at night .. It just made us feel like we were really getting her better .. I hope these changes continue for you guys .. have a great weekend!

That's a nice start for a Friday morning for Weezer. He's lower this morning than yesterday morning at this time. WTG!!! Hope you both have a wonderful surf today.

What a nice WCR this morning. I love it when we start to see the old behaviors return. I do believe that she feels better. YAY!!!

Hi Linda, that's so sweet hearing about Weezer and the snuggles and tied into his behavior and diabetes. It's so true, as I noticed it when my GA kitty got sick. So glad Weezer is feeling good. Weezer's numbers will come down in time, too. Have a wonderful Friday.

Absolutely nothing better than kitty snuggling again and I'm so happy Weezer is acting like the Weezer of old!!!

And.....I believe she has taken the title of flat yellow queen away from Gracie.....I hope.....
