Good morning LLanders! ~O) ~O) ~O)

Well this is a rather disappointing start to the day. :? We haven't seen our nice blue surf since the dosecrease down to .25 & now Bee isn't even responding to her LGD of .5. Looks like we're fattening up again tomorrow night so I have time to keep en eye on her...she can drop fast. (off Wednesday)

I'm also wondering if I should try one of the Solostar pens first. I picked them up while there was a free coupon, but am still using her original vial. It's 3 months old but there is no sign of cloudiness or floaties. We're not even half way through it yet!

Sorry to whine while so many kitties are stuck in pinks & reds, but no one wants to keep upping the dose...
I feel like we're just treading water instead of making any real progress.

Cloudiness is one of the signs that it isn't good anymore but it can loose its potency way before you see any change in it. I would suggest a change for sure...
and you might see a very quick response to the new one...so just watch her numbers closely, k?

ETA...yeah...I would start a new pen on this dose. Lantus gets variable amounts of time but the manufacturer says 28 days I believe....make a note of the new pen on your SS and keep an eye out in 30 days....Bee has been in the yellow AMPS for awhile now....
I know it seems like such a waste to throw out a half vial of insulin, but it can loose it's effectiveness after the stated time so there is not point in saving it....
As I said above, the fresh insulin can show a lot of action so be careful to watch her....and maybe hold off on increasing until you see if the new pen makes a difference....hope others come along to add their ideas too but that's what I would do if I were you....

good luck with the new juice!

You can look at Ken/Blackie's SS for the last week to see what new juice did for Blackie.
