I was lucky to have the "big guns" visit me last night. They suggested I feed Putty 8 mini meals a day. One at shot time, +1 +2 and +3 to see if it will stop his steep drops and high ps's. :thumbup

I think he may have gone lower before the +8 since he is usually lowest at +6. I will know if he continues to go up tonight.
Putty is feeling fine......he was playing all afternoon as he usually does when he feels good.
I was at a baby shower for twins today.....after all the ooohing and aaahing today I could use a few of these. drinking24
 
Nice day for Putt Putt. As I get older I dont care for baby showers. I do enjoy bridal showers though. Maybe it will change when Im going to be a grandma...many, many years from now...lol
 
I don't understand and I'm sure it's just me being a Dummy. I'm getting different advice to help with the same bouncing problem. I was told to make sure I feed a snack at +10 to try to soften the curve for a lower ps and you're being told not to feed in the whole second half of the cycle. Any help explaining the 2 different strategies would be greatly appreciated. I realize we may have 2 totally different things going on with our 2 very different cats (for one, Angel has never been polite) but I just want to try to have it make sense. Thanks Miriam or anybody else!

Hope the new strategy works for the Puttman. Baby showers...boring huh? Did you have to play stupid games??? I HATE those games. Here's the present, open it and let us go home!!!! :)

Yes Janice, I think your right. SOMEDAY, FAR FROM NOW, I bet we'll feel different!!!!

Well Miriam....it should wor to keep his numbers higher at the beginning of the cycle...

My DD went to a baby shower today too....nevermind....she is ready for drinking24 too!

Ugh, Baby showers...I haven't been to one of those in a long time...except for the ones we have at work, where we all bring in a dish, eat and open prezzies, then get back to work. No games to play, but no good drinks either.

Putty is all done eating for the night with our new experiment. He usually gets food around +6 so the poor guy will probably be wondering where his midnight snack is. cat_pet_icon
 
So color me puzzled and sitting next to Putty.
This plan is to have all meals in the first 3 hrs after each shot, and nothing for 9hrs?
Putty's getting the same total amount of food but it's just all bunched up in the hours after the shot?

Ah well, if it works and Putty remains polite, I guess it would be a good thing?

Good luck with the experiment but look out for a starving Putty in the morn!
 
It makes sense to load the food during the time when the Lantus is most active. I just wonder if Putty will want to chew your ankle off by +9, though.
