Morning everyone! Happy Labor day!
Hindisight is always 20/20 right?
I gave him some HC gravy last night at +4.5 as I went to bed. Now I look back and wonder if that was necessary, if I overdid it or if I made the right call.
Shadow has trained me to not trust him when he is green...I figured that he has a habit of going right for the 30s and I really wanted to keep him at this dose for as long as I possibly could. I thought about it after his snack at +4...where are you going tonight Shadow? :roll: nailbite_smile :roll: He had a regular LC snack at +7...and I had a few one hour naps. So, he did not earn a dosecrease. I will chalk this up as a WIN for Mama...even if i was too heavy handed... :razz:

Shadow must earn three <50 numbers to get a dosecrease but he must know that and goes right to the 30s at times. I hate that sinking feeling of seeing a 30 when I know he needs this dose. :roll:
As a side note..one of my cheapo alarm clocks broke as I was going to bed last night so I will have to go out and get another one. I do not trust me and my cell phone although it did work last night okay.

Barbecue on the beach again under the GREEN umbrella. Raja has the volleyball net set up and Shadow has the horseshoes ready. They are going to steal away and go to Duchess' house today while everyone parties on the beach.
Raja wants to meet her and tell her all about the loving friends she has. She said that Ginger might come with them too to tell Duchess about the warm greetings she herself received this past week when she first met everyone. They are horrified at the behavior of those cats where she lived before. They want her to know that all their friends are NOT like THAT! Hope everyone has a great day today...and we look forward to seeing all the kitties here again...

wow what a great run of numbers last night shadow! For what it's worth I think you handled it right last night by doing the HC .. I mean, if this is his bounce from a HC spill over, well, it's still blue and I bet he comes down in no time .. and you definitely don't want him to drop to the 30's .. that's not good at all .. have a great monday guys!

Looks like you did a great job Pat! It's so hard to tell what the right thing to do is, especially when you're in the middle of the situation. Blue wasn't bad, and he's still there this morning - that's awesome! Maybe someday I'll get there with Emma....

However, wanna change your subject title - it's now sept not august! I know, if only we could turn back the days and make it summer again.

Maui said, she'll be coming to the beach party and she's bringing her beach blanket and of course a wagon full of nipjitos!

She also wanted to know what those kitties problem was with Miss Duchess. Maui said for a small fee (her lunch money) she would protect her from those meanies. After all, nobody messes with Maui!

Hi Pat, I agree that you did right by feeding a little HC. Don't second-guess yourself! Stu is looking forward to hanging out on the beach under the green umbrella. I hope he surfs and doesn't go diving!! Have a great Labor Day! So nice that Raja and Shadow are going to go to meet Duchess.

Morning!!Computee Look how crazy computee let me on today!!Yesterday Moonie was 148 when I left--Fed her 8 tempations bef ore I left to offset possible drop--.Then left tons of food-
In the car, I said to myself, why didnt I leave out some MC to offset possible drop?-DUH!! :roll:
As Shadow was in the 80 range, if you fed MC maybe the bounce today may have been a litle lower?
I also panic at the thought of her going too low especially when I'm going out

As soon as I told Tori about the beach party she got all excited and is getting ready to go. It's been a little while since she saw all her friends. She's eager to tell them how she's only going to have chemo every two weeks now. She's so happy about that. Who can blame her? She'll be there in a bit.

I came home to peacock feathers EVERYWHERE! Every few feet there were little play mice...even one in the LB! ohmygod_smile One of Latte's favorite toys, I had not decided to introduce yet (a feather on a stick) was in the middle of the floor! HOW did they find it?!?! :shock: DIrty kitty footprints in the bathtub and sink...faucets RUNNING! Duchess was covered in cat nip and greeted me with a very suspicious meow. :lol:

I take it they had a great time! Thanks for stopping by. Certainly they are welcome to come back tomorrow for an informal cleaning up party while Im at work for NINE hrs! ;-)

Do you think Raja, Shadow, and anyone else who comes by can explain to Duchess how important it is to start eating that wet food. And that its okay to not eat all of her food after playing so hard....she ate everything and wont get more until bed. This is going to be a looooooong evening. :lol: On the other hand, if Shadows numbers end up higher tonight, then maybe we will know why. You dont think he would be tempted to eat the kibble, would he?? nailbite_smile

Well , they said that Duchess was not shy at all...she really was a hoot...they said they never stopped laughing at the funny things she said and did. She would love to meet Mannie and Stu and Tess tomorrow...I had no idea there was such carryings on though. :sad:
