Happy Caturday LL! Alarm went off at 630am for the +9 feeding. I tried to ignore it, but civie Shnookie was having NO part of that. He literally digs me out of the covers, so up I got. I don't function well at 630am - put 3 cans of food out for the 3 civies, and some dry for Muffin. This schedule is going to wreak (?) havoc with Shnookie's diet. Too much leftover food for him to scavenge! Also gave Muffin food at the +11 test. Seems like the +9 food hit a little earlier today, but that's good as I have to go out this morning.

Hope all is well for all kitties and beans today.

Came home at +6 to my daughter being over doing her laundry, a house full of my son's friends, and Muffin....hiding in the closet. So 116? Not bad at all. Not sure how accurate the +9 is, had trouble getting enough blood for it. It seems like Muffin's poor ear is just a field of scabs, and I can tell it's tender, so trying to give it a rest. Been trying the right ear lately, but I'm left handed and it just feels awkward and backwards to use that one, and it doesn't bleed as well, so seems to take several pokes. She's getting a bit annoyed with me lately, so that's partly why there are fewer tests recently. Offered raw food at +9 - no go. Put dry food with it in same dish - no go. Will leave that until I go to bed (if she hasn't eaten by then, I'll give her something she will eat) or until Kibby eats it for her.. :-|

OT: Kibby has been a bit difficult to feed lately. He seems to be hungry 80% of the time, but only eats a few bites of whatever I put out, then asks for food again. He's never been particularly.....particular, other than occasionally not wanting some random flavor, but never acted like this before. Also, the last 3-4 days he's been spending most of his time inside, sleeping in Muffin's spot on the desk (which she is NOT happy about) He also looks a little thinner to me, but that could be that he's finally lost all of his winter coat, I'm not sure. He had an exam and bloodwork when he got his shots last month, and everything came back good. So I made an appt for him on Monday to get his teeth checked. He's always had bad plaque buildup, but they didn't say anything about it this time, so I'm taking him back to have them check again and see if he needs a cleaning or something. It's the only thing I can think of...

I hope Kibby gets better soon. Good idea to go to the vet.

Muffin just spent about an hour in the back yard...all by herself! Very unlike her! Had to drag her in for this +2-i'm-going-to-bed check and she's 71. Given that this is usually nadir, I'm still going to bed. Fed her again, Kibby ate her raw food, and got her out of that. He's sooo helpful, isn't he? :? :-x Oh well, I guess it's better that someone eats it.

hmm, I would test again before going to bed, this is a dose reduction earning number on your meter, it's equivalent of most of us being 41. Can't sleep on 41, not until you see a couple of rising numbers.

try 1/2 hour if you're hoping for bed. Maybe she'll be up far enough that I'll be more comfortable. :smile:
 
+2.5 89 And she's playing a little bit. So reduction in the am Libby? Or Jill? And how much? Not sure how much less I can measure :lol:
 
Oh my gosh! That's going to take some practice! :lol: She ate a little at +2, and is eating again as I type and there will be some left out for her for the rest of the night. Thanks so much Jill and Libby for the help and the pics!
 
good luck! Do practice first, and squirt it out onto the counter or something, to make sure there's really a drop coming out and to try getting the drops to be a consistent size. That is also when I went out and bought a cheap pair of reading glasses just for measuring insulin.

Yeah, I will definitely practice first - and I already bought the magnifying glass - I guess I'll actually have to put the batteries in it for the light now!
