I was going to reduce from f1.50 to 1.50, but now I'm scared.
I was going to ask for help in how beans sleep and monitor these greens at the same time.

Now I need help in deciding a BCS dose.

I was in your place Sunday night and the advice I got was to give a BCS dose as well. They told me to reduce by .75 but your J.D. may be different.
Hope you get some advice soon

It's hard making decisions in the morning, when no one is on the board. Especially when you're as tired as I am.

I just gave him a slightly fat 1.00. I don't have time to stall, as I leave in 90 minutes for the rest of the day until PMPS.
I just fed him some 8% FF and will leave out 8% Friskies in his feeder. Talk about ruining a nice set of greens, but what am I supposed to do? How do people sleep with these greens, that's what I want to know. This is a little new to me.

Advise and support needed, today. Please.

I checked Your SS at 5:00am and see that You were up last nite.
From this amps (green) he will probable going UP! Something GOOD is happening to J.D. Boy!
First hes gonna get food spike ! You don't have to worry!

I know, I was thinking the reduction to 1.50 would hold just fine this time, and then I get a 69 AMPS! I just freaked.
Maybe, I'll just leave out LC in his feeder and just try to make sure he's up before I leave for work. His onset is like +3.5 or something like that.

I just fed him some regular LC FF for his 2nd breakfast. That 113 makes me feel a little better.
I have to act "normal" haha at work, not like someone who's sleep deprived. This number helps.

Dyana, believe it or not - once you have enough data with the greens - you will be able to sleep better when J.D. is down there surfing. You both just have to get used to it and find your comfort zone. J.D. looks good on a surf board!

:lol: :lol: :lol: No, seriously, it happens! I remember when Kitty was still "new," I High-Carbed a 70 -- and just a couple of months later, I was shooting 70s and lower, and going to bed after seeing him start to surf.

The key, as I recall it, was a) being data ready, and b) looking for two tests in a row that were not falling. (EXPERTS: CHECK MY WORK HERE! Do I have it right? :-D )

I lived by this motto: EARLY SNACKS RULE. (Thanks, Cassandra!) I always gave him a snack at +2, and it set up his surfs nicely.

Nice hootin'!

This morning, I watched J.D. chase two squirrels at a full gallop :-D

I guess I blew it, oh well. I gave him his dose reduction, anyway, even though his shed was probably depleted from the BCS this morning.

Thanks Kathy. That was my BIG question. I just have to figure out when to give the snacks. I think his onset is around 3.5 and his nadir is around 7.5 to 8. Hopefully, we'll get there (to those nice greens) again.

wow Dyana, J.D. is doing well! It's hard to get used to having good numbers during the day, seems like J.D. likes to pull those green preshots on you in the mornings. I was lucky that Lucy usually did that at night. You did great, though. The R has really pulled him down too, so definitely make sure he's surfing before you go to bed tonight.

He's already starting to get back on tract and hopefully, with that TOR, he's got a good chance of coming down more and the Lev will kick in and he'll surf the evening in the greens for you. (You know that the 404 is a combo of bouncing and the BCS dose, right???)

:lol: just imagining JD running after the squirrels.

I was happy with all the green he had the past 3 nights (except the non-sleeping part :roll: ), he just seemed to have really extra long duration last night into this morning. I want his nadir to be back to +6 again :-D not really. I'm happy.

have you noticed JD's onset is later on lev than on lantus?
alex's onset on lev has been pushed back to about +4. between feeding (food spike) and the old shot wearing off, her numbers are going nowhere but up. knowing that makes it a lot easier to shoot a lower ps number...

Yes his onset is way later. On Lantus, I could see him diving right away before I left for work (at +2), now I actually see a genuine food spike, and I leave feeling comfortable that he's on his way up, and I don't worry.
If only I was home today, or could have "called in sick", I would have shot that (I think :lol:)
I'm sorry, I'm still a little backwards (wanting to know he's safe while I'm at work). I'll get over it more confident, someday :roll:

lol! yes! we want him safe... definitely. next time he does this when you're home, shoot and observe how he handles himself. watch to see if he's a self-feeder. most kitties will feel their numbers dropping and head straight to the food.

Nice recovery J.D. back to blue.
Dyana the nadir with Lev is much later at least for Putty. He used to nadir around +4 or +5 but as you can see tonight his nadir is anywhere from +5 to +8 and sometimes later.
It will take some time to get comfortable with the change.
