Thanks for the thoughts on acne treatment for J.D., yesterday. It looks like a terrible red pimple right under his bottom lip. I wet a cotton pad and put a drop of that iodine solution red stuff on the wet cotton and tapped that on his chin. And then rinsed with another wet cotton pad and dried it. The only plastic bowl he uses are in his feeder. I'll try calling my vet today.

He has eaten his breakfast, but slowly. Ginger actually finished hers first and came over to help J.D. finish his. He is currently laying on the couch where I gave him the chin washing. I hope it looks less red when I get home from work.

Poor JD...had to share his breakfast with his sister and then had to get his chin washed. Poor poor baby!! I hope you can figure out something for his chin, Dyana. When my Ali had little spots on her ears, I bought some anti-fungual cream and put a nice thin coating on it. It helped, the spots were gone in a few days. If you have anything like that laying around, maybe give it a try.

So, he probably was green and hit the 40s today, but I know nothing

I spoke to J.D.'s vet today. He said normally they treat it with steriods but since J.D. is diabetic he won't. He said to wash his chin with soap and water, and to watch it. I originally had an appointment for Saturday, but now I am working Saturday, so I changed his appointment to Monday. Hopefully, it will be all better by then. Knock On Wood.

awwwww poor JD. I hope it clears up soon. Glad to hear your vet did not want to jump into the steroid route.

One a.m. I woke to Latte w/ a bit of blood on her chin. Of course I had her to the vet immediately. The vet thought it was a pimple. Made me chuckle. Quite frankly, I know she had been digging in the forbidden closet and probably rubbed her chin against one of my crampons (used to ice climb). The closet door never opened again...and she never had another issue.

Dont forget that shea butter...used to treat some of the worst skin conditions in people, and cant hurt to try. Maybe use it after washing it good, as you are doing.

Hope he is feeling well otherwise.

JD I am sending some Angels oer to help clear up your little chin. They don`t mind even small things so they will bring healing green light with them hoping this is gone in no time at all...Kath Hate when I see one of our fur kids uncomforable ...
