Alex's stomach seems to be settling down a whole lot finally. Seems like the Flagyl is working. Hopefully tomorrow he''ll be completely back on his 'normal' diet.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend...it was very cold in NJ.

    Morning everyone

Thanks, Ronnie! (actually he is blooo now but I'm sure it can't last for long)
He and Jackson are both soooo hungry(what's new right)? :D I just gave them a couple of Liv-A-Littles and nearly lost a finger

(I wish Alex knew the meaning of the word "graze") NEVER happen

What a cute photo! I wish Kitty would sleep with me.

Beautiful +4. Wishing for more pretty numbers for you.

Thanks Kathy on both counts! but Alex was only watching tv with me and that was before he was dx'd. He doesn't have the patience to lie like that for more than 10 minutes anymore. He used to do it for an hour or more at a time. Jackson sleeps with me.

I was gonna comment on the new photo of Kitty. I just LOVE it. He is quite a handsome boy! Just my type. I just love the big sweet striped ones ♥♥♥

Kitty heard you were serving tuna....

Caryl, Kitty is definitely MY hero. He withstood about 5 months of once-daily Lantus to get to the green surf he is enjoying today. I am the designated scaredy-kat in this house.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Kitty is welcome to come and have Grandma Lucy's Freeze Dried Tuna with my guys any day of the week. I'm telling you..I'm a sucker for the striped guys. I so am ♥

Kitty was on Lantus once daily?

I definitely should clarify that, because that treatment was a case study in what NOT to do!

The vet who diagnosed him put him one shot daily. Naturally, since Lantus is a twice-daily insulin, Kitty just would NOT get regulated. I didn't know any better at the time, and I let the vet work Kitty up to a horrifying 10 units in one shot per day, with NO home testing. Kitty finally got that stuffed animal look -- he was in trouble. My poor little guy, it still hurts to think about it.

I found a consultant vet in another state who recommended this board. It took two weeks to transition Kitty to twice-daily shots, and we had to start all over at 2 units and work up to a breakthrough at 5.25 units before he began to come down again.

It's hard for me to look back on it; he went through a lot. But he's a sturdy guy, I guess, and at least we're doing the right thing for him now. And he is a cutie, isn't he? cat_pet_icon

    OH POOR KITTY....!!!!
And he was probably a real trooper too

    That is just awful.

Kitty IS a cutie. He is just absolutely "bite-my-belly" ADORABLE!
I'd love to see him roll on his back ...seriously. He has a belly like my Jacky had.
    (Jack has lost some weight)

I think I have a crush on him even more now ♥♥♥

(okay so I need to start spending more time with human people)

Human people, as opposed to cat people??
