Good morning.
Both J.D. and Ginger seem to be feeling better, or their normal selves, this morning. They woke up happily, ate their breakfasts, and then begged to go outside, so that's where they are now.

Is it Friday yet? This work week has been so long...................................

Going up :roll: but happy. Both cats are back inside (they were out for an hour). J.D. is giving himself a nice bath. They just finished their 2nd breakfast of FF lightly sprinkled with warm water gravy and Miralax. Ginger is screaming to go outside again. That's a good sign.

I'm feeling that long week too!

Don't you hate when you catch them rising just before you leave for work? I know that the insulin hasn't kicked in yet and I know that the amount of rise probably isn't even statistically significant, but I want to see lower numbers before I go to work!! LOL.

I've been thinking about switching to Levemir for awhile. It's just that that free Lantus coupon came out, so I kept using the Lantus.
My current pen is 18 days old, but has well more than half left in it. And, I still have 1 unused pen left of Lantus after that.
If and when I switch to Levemir, I would like some help on deciding when to switch.
J.D. and I go on vacation for 2 weeks (11 days) to California at the end of August. If I finish out this pen that I am currently on around the 1st or 2nd week in July, should I switch him to Levemir then? That way have a little over a month to get him used to the new insulin and adjust his dose if need be, before we leave on a jet plane. If I wait and use the other unused pen I have, it will run out at about the middle of August and I will only have maybe 2 weeks to get used to it before vacation time.
I can monitor him very well, almost the whole time we are on vacation, except for the 2 travel days (when he is in his carrier for like 12 hours each way).

What are your thoughts?

I think I would switch before the trip. You would have time before you leave and that way, you have the vacation to monitor. I think that would be more comfortable to you rather than switching when you come home, return to work and can't monitor.

Still holding to his RBC. He woke me up starving, and his fur feels so soft. I was suprised with the 330 and not movement.
