    Good Morning

    5th cycle 4.25u
We broke red this morning for the first time in a while.
Max had a very nice night snuggled and all purrs in bed with me.

WCR: Waiting for his shot, I slept a little bit later but got there in time for test and shot.
Had a not so nice surprise downstairs.
Big mark of pee right on the carpet just next to the little box. Really surprised about that.
I'm a bit concerned about that and will watch him today.
Hope this rebound has broken and we can see some yellows today.

Not sure what time it is for next test - but if I'm not too late, any chance a +5 could be caught?
I'm anxious for yellow!!! (oh - thats green - that day will come!) yellow!!

No such luck on the yellow.
What in the world is he doing going back up to red at +6 to 402.
Could this be a reverse curve?

I don;t think he was feeling as well today as yesterday.
    By the water bowl,
    urine on the carpet,
looked a littel sad - not as bright and shiny as he has been.

Of course he has to do this to me going into the weekend.
I'm really scratching my head on these results.

I called home and Max does not seem to be feeling well.
He has been sleeping a lot today, and he is not coming for food.
The food is being brought to him and he is eating it but DPS can tell that he just is not right.

Now I am worried but won't be home for a couple of hours.
And yesterday I was saying how bright and wonderful he was. Jinxed my self.

    Hi Ronnie
Going to head home now and see how he is +9 was 391.

I checked Ketones the day before yesterday and they were negative (as sure as I could tell with these colours that look almost the same)

I will be home this weekend and if I don't like what I see I will bring him in to ER. Not sure if I could bring him to old vet and new when works out of the hospital and not in on weekends.

I will post when I get home, about an hour half hour from now and assess him for myself.
    Thanks

I hope he is feeling better when you get home. Urine on the carpet could be suspicious for a urinary tract infection. If you go to the vet, and he thinks that is a possibility, make sure you get a sterile urine sample via cystocentesis, and get a culture and sensitivity done. A pancreatitis test (spec fPL) might also be a good idea if he is just feeling yucky. It may not be a problem with an inappetant cat, but the test is more valid if the cat is fasted for 8 hours before the blood is drawn.

    Thanks for the advice.
I'm home now and he is on his favourite chair which has not been used in a while.
He was purring when I cooed him but e would normally be hanging in the kitchen waiting
for the test food shot roytine to start. Still have an hour but I am going to go do a +11 now.

DPS saw him using the litter box today and I will hopefully get the Keton check in.

Poor Max. I hope he starts to feel better soon. If he does have a UTI, that could be why his BG is so high.

If you do get the fpli, you might as well ask them to run the full GI panel - it's not that much extra. At least it's not here in the U.S. Here, it goes to TX A&M University. In addition to the fpli, they do a ftli, folate and B12.

Maybe he's just having a yucky day and will be perfectly fine later today!

Not that I even know what a reverse curve is or means but looks like Max had one today.
If anyone knows, could you let me know please.

Max did not come to the kitchen for dinner. I had to bring it to him on his chair
but he is eating it all up.

Hopefully with this shot he will feel a little better.
    My eyes are on him.

I'm gonna say it again, this looks promising! I say that again cuz some kitties go lower in the evening cycles.

    Thoughts on reserve curve anyone?

    Got the Ketone test.

    Thank goodness that was negative.
Max was lying by the water fountain and I just put him in the litter box.
Will test again in an hour and cross the paws that something will give.

    Very bizarre today.
