Good Morning.

J.D. was going down last night and at +3 he was 223, but I failed to get another test. I woke up at 10 minutes to +5 and 10 minutes to +6 and both times I thought I'll test him in 10 minutes but fell back to sleep. I finally woke up at exactly +8 and he was 314. So, now he seems to be flat low pink.
I don't know if his bounce has cleared yet, but I think it should have, so I went back up to 2.50 this morning, as I still have today and tomorrow off from tbp to watch him.

Oh I've done that too. Sometimes just getting the test in 10mins early is worth it so you don't fall back to sleep. A lot of the time when I wake up at night and take a test, in the mornng it really feels like a dream. Almost like sleep walking. Did I get that test last night? Ahh yes I did. Funny I don't quite remember it. :shock:

You must have needed the sleep. I-) Glad you'll be home to test J.D. the next couple of days. Hope his rebound clears soon.

I admire those of you who get (or attempt to get) sleep tests. I will stay up all night over going to bed and waking in the middle! thats where I set MY limits!

Glad you have the day off tomorrow too! Thats a rare treat, isnt it??? Probably such a relief, too.

Enjoy your day off Dyana and thank you for that bale of catnip for the party last night...J.D. was so happy to share it with everyone...he is a good worker and such a wonderful boy...and everyone commented on the quality of the herb! Got thumbs up from everyone! :thumbup

He's still flat flat. Well, it's better than bouncing. I just thought he was ready to clear rebound and go down.
My sleep shed is full now, so if he wants to show me something tonight.. go for it J.D. come on..

For right now, I'll just be happy with flat. He ate his 3 breffises and has now been allowed out (in the heat :roll: ) and is currently layng out on the deck, sunning himself.

Carolyn: I am supposed to get 1 day off a week every other week and 3 days off a week every other week, it just doesn't always work out that way. So, yes, having tomorrow off is special to me. Work has been a bear lately, and I need it.

Pat: I'm just lucky I am able to grow catnip at work where there are no cats around to steal or smush it.

Sara, the worst is when I don't quite remember giving the insulin in the morning. Luckily I have a system.. Oldish ladies like me need a system to remember things these days. :lol:

I brought him in to test, this lovely yucky pink, and now he wants to go back outside..sleep on the deck..maybe too much partying last night. :lol: It's just so hot outside. I don't know why he likes it. I brushed his fur to get all the bird seed out that he was laying in, and I'll let him back out. I've had squirrels jumping the almost 3 feet threw the air to land on the suspended bird feeder and spilling seed all over the deck. Maybe J.D. will have squirrel for lunch. Not!

I was preparred to give him some R if he was higher than the +7. I had the syringe out and was ready, but now he's gone down again. NDW I guess.

Raja loves it outside too...but WE are in Florida!!! :o It's disgusting out there!
I don't think she likes the a/c and she screams at me to let her go out. She is so persistent and so annoying...so i give in. i worry about dehydration. She never drinks water...so whatever i add to her food is all she gets. Is that weird? How can you MAKE them drink.
(I don't see Shadow drinking water anymore either....) nailbite_smile

Maybe setting himself up (crossed fingers) for a good evening cycle on his new dose. He's bugging me like crazy for food, but he knows it's an hour away before dinnertime. I think it's funny, when I open the refrigerator to see if there's anything to munch on in there and J.D. is right there beside me peering inside too :lol:

The rain stopped for a few and we went for a quick walk around the courtyard, cause the cats prefer that I go out there with them :roll: and it started raining again when we were halfway around.

My water fountain water bowl is just for collecting cat hairs. I change the water every couple days, just in case a cat is thirsty, but I so rarely ever see them drink any water. Maybe once in 2 or 3 months do I see J.D. drink (mostly when he's dropping low), and I don't know if I've ever seen Ginger drink water.
But, I did see J.D. taking a bath outside getting all the raindrops off his fur :-D
Maybe that will answer your last question..How can you MAKE them drink...get them wet hahahaha mean!

Glad you are caught up on your sleep. Hope J.D. does his thing tonight. I once had to bathe a cat. Almost did not live through it. Maybe a spray bottle will do the trick.

Tuffy loves to go on the patio but it has been 100 here and I won't let her out till dark. Have a nice day off tomorrow.

Carolyn, sleep tests thats the perfect word for those middle of the night tests. :smile:

Pat, Sara loves the AC. She gets on the top of the couch and plants herself there for a good long catnap. :-D

OT Dyana, My friends cat isn't on 6U anymore. On advice from this site we cut it in half and did a rebound check. He's doing better. Now I have to take all her #'s and do a ss. Than I'll see what others think.
