It's hard to believe that he was diagnosed just 8 weeks ago - and he was a very sick kitty! I never thought I would have a diabetic kitty, and I had no clue on what to do, how to treat him - how to deal with this! Luckily, I stumbled across this website, and with all the great information here and all of the kind, helpful people here that took the time to calm my fears and set me on the right path, Porky has made it to the falls and is ready to party! party_cat

The most important thing of all is that I have my healthy, happy Porky back - he's playful, perky and much more interested in the world around him. In fact, it's exhausting just keeping up with him! :lol: But, I can deal with that - it's much better than the alternative!

So, a big hug :YMHUG: and lots of love to the people (and kitties!) on this board - we couldn't have done it without you!
 
Happy Happy day for you and Porky! Now he is a healthy energetic kitty again, all because of how well you took care of his diabetes. Yeah, for Jennifer!! Now you can put away those needles - isn't that a great feeling?

He is! I sometimes call him "St. Porky the Patient", because when I first brought Hammie home (my civvie), he quickly glommed on to Porky and followed him EVERYWHERE - yes, even to the litterbox, where he would stick his nose under Porky's butt to see what was going on down there! :lol: :lol: :lol:

And, he would jump on Porky's back, wrap his arms around his neck, and chew on Porky's ears. His other favorite toy was Porky's swishing tail. And Porky put up with all of this with his usual calmness and patience - hence the name! :-D

The party and that video were incredible! I'm fairly new so I can't say I understand the video in it's entirety. But I'm happy to have a peak at your success story =) Congrats!
