I often browse CL for free/cheap Lantus and Levemir insulin in locations where cats being helped by DCIN are.

I browsed in some major cities, even though I don't have cats there. Thought these postings might help others.

Macon GA, posted 10/26, Lantus vials at $25 each.

Detroit, posted 10/26/10, 5x3ml Lantus Solostar pens, $25/box.

Detroit, posted 10/19/10, 5x3ml Lantus Solostar pens, $20/box.

Detroit, posted 9/27/10, leftover test strips, syringes, and lancets from a diabetic cat. Free.

Minneapolis, posted 9/21/10, 5x3 ml Lantus pens, $100. Certainly not the cheapest I've seen, but cheaper than even the Canadian Mail order pharmacies.

Butler (North Jersey), posted 10/12/10, 19 Levemir Flexpens for $200. This is a great deal if some folks wanted to go in together. In fact, DCIN wouldn't mind going in on this bunch.

Phoenix, posted 10/29/10, Lantus 10ml vial $50.

Scottsdale AZ, posted 10/4/10, 10ml vial Lantus $50.

Escondido CA, posted 11/3/10, Levemir pens $12.

I cannot say whether these supplies are still available, but it's worth an email or call. Please protect yourself and your money when dealing with a CL seller.

Take away message--it doesn't hurt to check Craigslist in your area for insulin and supplies. You might even consider posting an insulin/supplies wanted ad. Amazing people want to help.
 
NJ Levemir

I just spoke to Michael in Butler, NJ, about the 19 Levemir pens for $200. They are still all there. I will try to find someone local who can go over and buy them and then ship them out to people who would be interested (or ship them to me and I will ship out).

These pens are $10.50 each. I would also ask folks also to pay the postage to get the insulin to them. I know that two pens and a freezer pack will fit into a $4.95 Priority mail flat rate box.

Send me a PM or post here to let me know who is interested in the NJ Levemir and how much you want. First come, first served.
 
If the expiration dates are far enough away (12/2011 or so?), I'll buy 3, please, from whoever ends up shipping them out.

If not, I'll at least buy 1.

The picture I saw on CL put some at 10/11 and 3/12 Melissa. I don't have the complete info on expiry, but we will find this out before we buy.
 
Please use CAUTION!

Check the person's photo ID and references.

You do not know if the insulin was stolen or adulterated/contaminated.
 
I have a box of levemir pens and a vial of lantus. I'm asking 200.00 for both,
pick up in Buffalo New york or will ship

I agree with BJM on this. There are many not-so-nice people on CL. BE SAFE !! :smile:
 
It's also too cold this time of year to ship the Lantus insulin as you do not want it to freeze. That would destroy it.
 
There are people who will steal someone's insulin and sell it, sometimes for drug money. The fact that you don't doesn't mean it can't happen.

I live in the buffalo ny area and am a diabetic. I often have spare insulin unopened and unexpired stored in my fridge. Novolog and lantus flexpens 5 per box. If interested in purchasing, please email me at chanmar32@gmail.com. Thank you.
