Hi all. Ziggy just had a follow-up at the vets. He's doing good. His blood has gone down from 415 to 386, and he has gained a little over a pound in the week since he started on his insulin. Zig has even started chasing Webster, one of my other cats. He hasn't done that in a while so I know he's feeling better!
The doc said to up Zig's insulin from one unit to one & 1/2 units a day. He's doing good with his diet. I feed him the Friskies pate's and so far, so good.
I want to start testing his blood sugar at home. I've read to take a sample from the ear. Any advice on where on the ear & the best method to get it?
Thanks to all. I may not post a lot, but reading other posts sure gives me some great support!
