Yesterday Zeke held his numbers decently. Much better then I expected so maybe he wont have a full lull. By his +18 last night, it was well over 24 hours since he had his last Lev shot so normally would have been much higher. Might luck out and Zeke be one of those who shows pretty fast on how the Tresiba is going to work.

He seems to be holding pretty well. I will probably go ahead and adjust his dose to 1.25u tomorrow.

Holding his numbers so far. Have already adjusted the caliper so we will do a 1.25u shot tomorrow morning. Since that puts him close to his Lev dose, will probably hold it for a little longer. Don't want to raise too quickly since we aren't seeing the full effect of the Tresiba yet.
 
One suggestion, maybe on the spreadsheet comment that are doing once a day for now. Watching the experiment with interest.

Are you testing for ketones now?

At his current numbers, he doesn't normally throw ketones so haven't worried about that yet. If he started hitting 400's frequently I would. We have also been doing kitty stew just as a preventative in case he decides to do higher.

On the line labeled for the insulin change, I put the dosing frequency there. :) I don't want to change the lay out on the sheet until I know how he is going to do with this frequency.

Looking good today! Were you thinking of a +9 or +10 check? It'll be interesting to see where Zeke's nadir ends up being as the depot builds. My fingers are staying permanently crossed for him this week! No bouncing for the handsome boy :joyful: And as the depot builds, hopefully both nadir and pre-shots will start lowering nicely :cat: I saw that you plan to increase to 1.25u, then hold for a bit. How long do you think you'll monitor before making the decision to stay with once a day, or move to twice a day dosing? By tomorrow some time, the last of the Lev depot should have depleted. ...Never can tell, though lol!

We are going for doing every 3 hours today just to see how its looking overall. Of course during the night will probably miss a couple of those times. For how long on the once a day, it's really just gonna be a play it by ear sort of thing. Once the Lev depot is gone, will be able to tell better what the Tresiba is actually doing so will know how we need to proceed. Depending on how it looks, we might even try doing 18 hour cycles if he isn't dropping too much at the end of cycles. Luckily I work from home and my daughter (Zeke's mommy) is a college student living at home, so we are able to monitor as much or little as needed.

Zeke is definitely feeling good today, hes been bossing my little grey Gremlin around! :smuggrin:
