Would you rather have to spend the next year repeating the fourth grade (at your current age), or spend a month in jail for a crime you did not commit?

I will take repeating the fourth grade, thankyouverymuch. I could probably use some remedial math anyway, plus I could get behind recess.

Definitely a year in 4th grade. I have a 4th grader too, so I have a good idea of what to expect. Not pretty, but survivable. I would require a larger desk though.

I can't imagine being locked up, even for a weekend. I'd go seriously nuts.

hmmmmmm, depends on the jail :)

if minimum security i'd probably go with the month in jail.

if where the real bad boys are, give me 4th grade immediately.

Hmmm, I'm with Cindy too. I kind of am intrigued by seeing what other people's lives are like, so since I've done 4th grade, jail seems like kind of a curiosity to me. But yeah, I don't really want to be assaulted by meanies, so if it's THAT kind of jail, I will stick to TV glimpses, and repeat 4th grade (one of my least favorites... 1 year of my life I will never get back  ).

I'd have to go 4th grade as well. Jail seems scary and the food is bad. At least with 4th grade, I could bring my lunch :)

Women's prison with a fist full of pardons please. lol Sorry, I just heard that idiom for the first time recently.

Otherwise, 4th grade please.

HAHAHAHA!! I like it. I've never heard it before, either.

So yea, the preceding part of the idiom usually revolves around being lucky/getting lucky/scoring/etc. ... Like, 'X hockey player couldn't score if he were in a ....' I'm cognizant of my audience here, so I hope I don't offend anyone.

Among my more nerdy chores, I've been collecting idioms lately. Maybe an idiom sharing topic would be fun?

It would be SO much fun, but a lot of the Southernisms I know aren't necessarily fit to print, although I could censor them. ;) I would love to hear others' idioms, though. I'm kind of nerdy that way, too.

As a kid I kept a running list of palindromes. I was up over one hundred...
