Fuzzy has been doing very well the past couple weeks, but unfortunately we've had some new discouraging news as of the last two visits to the vet.
Fuzzy's lab results from February 22-24 showed worsening ALT (362 u/l) and newly elevated AST (122 u/l), and her recheck yesterday (3/2) showed continued or worsening values as well (ALT: 410; AST: 118; ALP: 74). The "Labs" tab on Fuzzy's spreadsheet should be up to date, but I've also uploaded a pdf that contains recent lab results (ordered from most recent (3/2) to 10/22/2021) here in case anyone would like to take a look: bit.ly/fuzzy-labs
We are getting a referral to take her to see an internal medicine specialist elsewhere in the state so that she can get a liver aspirate and ultrasound (hopefully soon). In general, we're just very scared and sad that this is happening after she's finally starting to gain some weight and has been really thriving at home and loving her new food.
Does anyone have any experience with dealing with concurrent liver issues and have any advice on things we should look out for or questions we should ask about when making the appointment for her procedure? This is the first time doing anything like this since Fuzzy was diagnosed with diabetes.
EDIT: I forgot to mention the reason there is heightened concern about her liver to begin with is because it was mentioned in the write-up of the findings from an ultrasound she had done back in November 2021.
