Hedwig is on her first 24 hours of Lantus, I tested her, gave her some food (she was begging) and then gave her a shot. After she finished chowing down she napped for a good couple hours. She woke up and I can't say I've ever before noticed, but she had a bit of a wobbly head. Like she was a little dazed. I tested her blood and it has dropped a little bit (low 300), nothing crazy, where it tends to be around meal time. She hopped down to her food dish and scarfed some food. She seems alert, played a bit with a toy about fell off the chair doing so, and is back to lazy. Currently looking cute and stretched out on the stool. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

I've put pain relieving neosporin on her ears due to all the ear pokes, nothing else has changed except she is now getting insulin. I'll wake her up from a nap in 20 to give her, her clavamox. I mean I definitely wake up a bit on the side of wobbly from time to time, curious if it could maybe be something else. Let vet a message also, just in case.

Cheers!

Dottie had a little of this, too...to the point where I became concerned. Perhaps their bodies have tried to adapt to those high numbers for so long, that their bodies get a bit giddy at the prospect of reaching normal numbers. Dottie's ok now, acting like a normal cat. I broke out a couple of toys she hadn't seen in a while and she actually took them away from Gizmo. Got all puffy and confrontational. I haven't seen her behave like that in a long time.
