Hello,

A little worried today. I checked Wiggle Worm's BG 3 hours after his morning shot and it was still 307. I always feed him first thing in the morning after his shot and he ate 1 1/2 cans of FF. He has a good appetite and grooms himself. The only thing is his tail twitching so violently at times he cannot rest.

Thanks

Angela

I don't have an answer for you, but since Alex has been diagnosed, he too, has more tail action. The other difference I've noticed in him is the way he relaxes. He used to sit like a meatloaf (with all legs and feet tucked up under him) and now he lays mostly on his side. Also seems more affectionate :-D except at poke and shoot times.

That's a slow drop but it's still early in the cycle, nadir (lowest point of the day) for Prozinc is usually around +6 to +8 so you may still see some better #'s later in the day.

Hang in there.

Typically the insulin doesn't kick in til maybe around +2, so it's not unusual not to have a lot of drop by +3. It may mean the dose is too low, but there are other reasons too. See how the rest of the cycle goes and try not to worry about it to much.

I'm not sure about the tail twitching. Have you asked your vet? If you haven't posted about it on Health you might do that too.
