Well sinceProZinc is a 12 hour insulin your PMPS being at 8:00 PM , that’s 12 hours after his last shot, so that goes over 4 hours if you look at Corky’s SS you will see the same pattern

As Lou start to get more blue BGs he will start regulating and most likely the morning Bgs will also be in the mid blues and saying that, you will start to notice that Lou will keep you on your toes as well ( and cats are unpredictable) with a green AMPS one day, I personally have never missed giving a shot to Corky, the great thing about ProZinc, is that you test, feed, shoot, and always after feeding the BG goes right back up, and you have the advantage that you can delay the shot 1/2 hour and retest for peace of mind, You are doing a great job!!

Thank you I really appreciate it, does it affect his BG if I give him some wet food before the test? Cause ive noticed that I wake up do his test (and I have to like leg lock him like WWE style) and then feed him, shoot, give him his steroid with a wet tube go about my business getting ready for work the test him at like 9:20 ish and he is so calm and easy at that point I don't gotta pull out the wrestling moves hill just lay there and let me hold him in place with a hand on his chest and bing bang boom all done 5 minutes then I give him a little more food and off to work and same when I get home its a struggle to get him to take the first test but after he has been fed bros is chill and ready to mingle lol

If you have low carb treat you can lure him to test, just 1 pc of ham perhaps, I use Frick, Ham from Walmart, inexpensive, it comes in thick slices 1% carbs, I give that to both the cats a slice each in little squares at + 2 he will also associate treat/ test, giving to him exactly where you are going to test so have everything ready to do so, give treat, begin testing

I was using a churu tube to reward him and prep him for the test but so far he hasn't associated it with the test I don't think, he is bullheaded sometimes so it may take awhile lol

I bought those Churu as well, but when I got home and put the nutrients in the calculator tge chicken and tuna recipes they are 17% carbs the dry matter carb % is the true number, a small pc of ham 1% or anything that has no sweet content enough to lure him to testing, I myself will not give them to neither of my cats not even Coco thats not diabetic

Okay thats a shame because its been a really good tool for his other medication through out the last few years but ill have to pick up some of the fricks ham

HI! I'd like to update with you guys that Lou is doing great! Thank you all for your amazing advice and support! It really helped me to help him. He has regained energy that he didn't have until before he was diagnosed with IMHA. He has been running and chasing toys, sometimes without my input. So thank you all again, your amazing and this is a beautiful forum! Without your help I wouldnt have the peace of mind to exist properly.

I’m glad for you and Lou, this is what this forum is about, selflessly saving fue babies like Lou and my Corky❤️😉
