Why high +3 number this morning?

Can anybody explain what could have caused Andy's +3 bg to climb to 423? I was planning to test again at +5 - should I bother at this point? On 10/27, he had a similar effect at +4 but on .8u. Is the 1.2u too much? This is very perplexing.

Hi Yvonne ~ it is not uncommon for them to climb up a bit at the +2-3 mark since they have just eaten a few hours prior. My cat often climbs up and that marker before he starts to come down. If you could get another test between 5-7 to see where Andy's nadir is that would be some more helpful data for you. :cat:

Looks like he dropped back down. It's good information if he is carb sensitive. Then you can think about finding some of the lower carb foods (2-6%) and see if they bring him down. Just stay away from seafood more than once/twice a week (Mercury). And you may be able to give him regular carb food when he drops low rather than getting out the higher carb.
