My cat, Mona (and the rest of us in the house) are struggling with her polyphasia and weight loss. For more details, see this thread (http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/dealing-with-a-ravenous-cat-polyphasia.151806/).

What tests would you recommend I discuss with the vet at her appointment on Thursday?

Attached are her most recent labs. Nothing stood out to him as being out of the ordinary for a cat with long-term diabetes who is in the process of getting re-regulated.

I was thinking thyroid but see from the tests that Mona's thyroid is in normal range...

It's perplexing....
I wonder if there is a mal-absorption issue; that something is preventing Mona from getting the nutrients from her food?
Is she pooping OK? If things are moving too quickly through her system maybe she's not getting the nutrients she needs...?
Or is it simply that she's not getting enough food?
Or, this may sound daft but, is Mona an outside cat and is her worming up to date....?
(Cancers can also cause weight loss of course, but all my cancer kitties lost their appetites, their appetites didn't increase...)

Really hoping you find the answer to this.
Keeping fingers and paws crossed for you. :bighug:

The abnormalities that I see ae:
Low HCT/red blood cells (RBC) The reticulocyte count does NOT indicate the bone marrow is try to produce more RBC.
Monocyte count is high. This is one type of while blood cell (WBC) and tends to indicate an infection.
Spec fPL is high which indicates inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis)
ALP, a indicator of liver function, is only slight high and tome does not mean anything
Urine specific gravity is on the low side considering the creatitine value is in the low range.

Test I would consider.
ZGI blood panel

An adominal ultrasound

Thanks! She's pooping a TON and it's soft and voluminous. And really stinky. I know now that's what it looks like when it's going through too fast. I snapped a picture of one today for the vet. Should I also bring a fecal sample?
