What is the difference between 31 gauge and 30 gauge in syringes? I am looking to buy some easy touch syringes because they are much easier to see does with. Can someone please tell me the difference here? Thank you!
31 gauge and 30 gauge is the thickness of the needle. Think of it as in the same terms as the lancets...a 30 gauge makes a smaller hole than a 28 gauge. Same holds true for needles, the larger the number the smaller around the actual needle is. Needles are classified by diameter (gauge) and length. I personally use a 5/16-inch 31 gauge needle for Musette.
fwiw, Mousie doesn't seem to notice a difference between the 30 and 31 gauge needles so i can go with either one of those. now if i stupidly go to a 29 gauge, she hurts me
