Okay, so I have both a human meter (Bayer Contour) and an AlphaTrak2. The cost of the AlphaTrak2 strips is just too much. I know it is a business, but they are gouging us pet owners--there I said it.
So when using a human meter, how much do you compensate the numbers? It wasn't until years had passed when using my Bayer meter, that I learned the numbers were very off and my poor cat was poorly regulated because of it. My vet and specialist said invest in the AlphaTrak, which I did, but so many of you make the human meters work.
How do all of you make the human meter work accurately?
