What is opinion of Daily Best from Pet Naturals?

There's a lot of extraneous stuff in them. Personally, I just stick with the freeze-dried meat treats because you know it's low carb vs. hoping it is without having to ask for "as fed" values from the manufacturer. ;-)

Ingredients: chicken liver, brewers yeast, glycerin, taurine, calcium phosphate, soy lecithin, whey, black currant seed oil, canola oil, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate, calcium carbonate, safflower oil, fish oil (yielding 8.2 mg EPA and 5.5 mg DHA/serving), proteinate, zinc proteinate, d-calcium pantothenate, cystein, niacinamide, bromelain (from pineapple), magnesium oxide, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, para-aminobenzoic acid, inositol, vitamin B12 supplement, vitamin A acetate, proteinate, sodium selenite, vitamin D3 supplement, biotin, calcium iodate, mendione sodium-bisulfite complex (source of vitamin K activity), folic acid, pepsin (from porcine), papain (from papaya).

What gets me, is when I go into pet section and there is all these things for dogs and not as much for cats. Much more health and and natural things for dogs than there is for cats. Even in the food area. I liked dogs a LOT, but lets get some equal things for cats and same amount of items in stores.

If you see good things that are for dogs, buy them - cause if they make them for cats it will be more expensive and you will get less of it, making it doubly more than the dog treat you saw.

I buy the Purebites for dogs, cause it's lots cheaper than the teeny bag for cats! I just don't tell the cats or let them see the picture of the dog on the bag.

Thanks. I will look for Purebites at Petco when I go tomorrow to get Halo Liv a Little.
Currently, I have been buying raw chicken hearts and chicken gizzards at Supermarket, and put some into separate baggies in the freezer and then just taking out a bag in morning to thaw, so by mid-late afternoon it will be ready to use as snacks and for after shot reward. I put a post asking about FreshPer dog meat treats, because I want to know if that is ok. I am wondering because it has oats in it, which I guess dogs can have, but not sure about FD cat.

No, I would definitely stay away from oats (carbs) because there's no way to know how much they put in it.

I buy the Simply Nourish brand for dogs from PetSmart because it's the cheapest of the bunch. Make sure you look for the ones that only contain meat and no other ingredients.

Were you wanting to used the Pet Naturals just as treats, or because you want a vitamin supplement? I think the gizzards are great treats, and really good for them. There are usually hearts w/ the gizzards and that has extra Taurine. Good for their teeth too.

We use the Pet Naturals "UT Support", "Joint" and "Calming" treats. Tess needs the supplements from the first two and much prefers these treats to having stuff added to her food. The calming treats are because she gets pretty hissy fit prone if we let Emma in. We'll use them crumbled on her food to get her to eat sometimes too. I agree though that there is a lot in the Daily Best that you might not need, especially the phosphorus.
