We have been trying to get down to SC to visit Doug's aunt and her family. We haven't visited them since his uncle's funeral almost 4 years ago. Shame on us; it's only a 4-hour drive. Since next week is spring break, it would be a good time for us to go down, but it's not looking like we can take Hershey with us. I'm about ready to offer to stay home, but I know how Doug would react to that! Anyhoo - we're trying to see if we can bring him, although it would mean him having to stay in a crate pretty much the whole time and enduring the ride, which he hates. So, not sure that's a kind solution anyway. :YMSIGH:
I hate to think of boarding him because I know anytime I've had to overnight him at the vet's he's been scared and cries a LOT! (Not to mention $$$)
Going to beg my mom to let him stay with her; we'll see how that goes. IF she agrees - I think I might can talk her into giving his shots, but I doubt I can also get her to test. So - IF she keeps him, is there a dose I can have her give that will keep him moving forward AND keep him safe while I'm gone?
I really think we need to go to SC, but I sure don't want to do anything harmful to Hershey, either. I'm planning on us going for ~3 days and 2 nights.
Thanks!!!
