? What do you do when you won't be home to test?

Hi everyone! I'm going to have to go into the office on Thursday for the first time in months. I'll be gone from right after the AM shot until +7 or 8.

I have an automatic feeder, so I can leave a couple of meals for during the day. My question is, should I also give a reduced dose that morning to be on the safe side?

I'm lucky to be able to work from home most days, but I'm sure there are lots of folks doing TR who are gone all day, at least some of the time. Would greatly appreciate any advice.

Thank you!

Even if you were to skip or give a reduced dose, the depot will still affect the first part of the cycle. If she will eat from the autofeeder, you can give the full shot and just leave higher carb food in the feeder in the first part of the cycle to keep her safe. Maybe even feed slightly higher carbs with the shot. Especially till +3 when she sees the most action.

Whiskey sometimes doesn't go hunting for food in the auto feeder if I am not here, so while I also leave her food in the auto feeder (with an extra spoon of gravy for any pre-nadir meal, just in case); so I usually try for a +2 test and give her some gravy with a +2 snack which works pretty well for me when I have to be out during the day. When I do that I try to make a note on the spreadsheet.

Fortunately there are currently not too many days I have to be out, as I work from home; but when I do, that strategy has kept her safe.
