Officially 3 months today since diagnosis. It's been rough but I love my girl so much and I definitely feel content with how things are going. Of course I want remission and better numbers but she is doing so well and is such a happy loving cat. The first month or so her diagnosis was consuming my self to the point where it was causing me such terrible anxiety. I still worry about her but I'm a lot less stressed. I hope everyone is doing well!!! Thanks again for all the advice that has helped get us this far. :)

I'm so glad you've "relaxed" into treating Angel's FD. I'll bet you never thought at the beginning that this would be possible. I hope it all continues to go well for you and your kitty. :)

I'm a little over month in. It's good to hear that with time "the consumption" and anxiety does let up a bit. :cat:

Hurray! One year is paper for humans right? What's 3 months for a cat? How about one of those snow shovel litter scoops we found when we brought a 28 pound cat into a teensy-tiny-itty-bitty apartment? Did you check the list off; social life non existent, crazy cat lady jokes, "Name that smell" board game. Seems like a hundred years ago doesn't it, and summer is coming for both of you! Summer is the name of our neighbors skunk, see you at the border Sunday at noon.

So happy to hear all these good stories. It's been about 3 weeks since we started vetsulin and last night had some issues. Things were going so well so when something new and unexpected hits it really freaks one out! I can't say enough good things about all the great people on this site. This site is a life saver all the way around.

Your kitty has much better numbers right off the bat than mine did. :) what issues? Numbers look great last night. Did you freak when you got green numbers and feed high carb food? I've done that :)

mmm? sure looks that way:-) I fed mc and hc mixed. then just hc after second green. The FD "angels" were watching with fingers crossed that the numbers didn't keep going down since she was several hours away from nadir. This morning Vet reduced vetsulin to .5 cu 1x daily. I still don't quite understand and am going to post a question on the Vetsulin forum. It is such a relief to hear from people going through or having lived through all this stuff.
