Chianti was hard to coax onto wet foods. Prior to diagnosis the only wet food he would eat was 9 lives flaked tuna (cheese or egg) when he did eat wet. I have successfully coaxed him onto the flaked varieties of fancy feast which thankfully don't have gravy on them. But he is starting to get a little tired of the same 5 flavors of food. So without having to buy a million different cans of food, does anyone know of any other good foods that fit the food he likes? He only wants flaked, the finer and flakier the better. He is just a fussy cat, he won't even eat treats of any kind.

The Weruva chicken Frick 'a zee is kinda flakey (and a bit gelatinous). Tiki Cat Chicken and Egg is more like tuna textured, so that might work, plus it has egg in it if that's what he liked previously. Both are low carb.

Another thing I do is mix the chunky/flakey with the pate as a sort of topper. That might help get him eating Pates. And of course, adding extra water to pates to make it into a thick soup for them to "drink" instead of eat. As much water as they'll allow (with my two cats, that equals out to about a half can of water to a full can of food).

Thank you so much. I will give those a go. His dislike of anything not flaked and preference of fish is limiting choices a lot.

My cats like the Grreat Choice from Petsmart. They have a bunch of flavors and the poached trout doesn't have the dangers of the other fish kinds like tuna, from what I've read. It's also cheaper than Fancy Feast.

The chunky chicken FF is a hit in my house. I did try Weruva Chicken Frickazee and they loved that too. I tend to add the chunked or flaked flavors on top of pate style to stretch food. You could also try FF appetizers which are shredded meat--put a teaspoon of that on top of his food.
