I have come across a new (to me) canned food brand Weruva. It is grain free and looks to be nutritionally acceptable. My clowder absolutely loves it...especially the chicken and the fish. It is pricey so I'm limiting it to special treat meals now and then. Has anyone had any experience with this food?

Smoky eats that once in a while. A few of the flavors are higher carbs so watch for carbs in this food. Weruva Truluxe is the one I use for smoky, check out their website as they give you the carb count for their products. I like that it is one of the few foods that doesn't contain carrageenan which can cause inflammation in some cats. It is also great for cats with allergies.

My Radar really likes many of the mixtures made by Weruva. I really really appreciate that they are one of the few companies that is very transparent about the carb/fat/protein ratio in their foods. When you go to their website, you can pull up all the varieties and when you go to the nutrition page a lovely chart is provided. It is a bit pricey but I don't mind since I know what is in this food. :)

Good luck to you.

All my cats enjoyed Weruva before switching to raw. Some formulas are not under 10% carbs though, so be careful which ones you get. :) The BFF line from Weruva is cheaper. I bought it off Chewy.com.

Despite being low carb, Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken elevated Keno's BG. A couple of other members here had the same experience. We suspect it is because there is potato starch in it.
