Weird BG...Don't get it!

Ok, Copper was doing so good and numbers looking great and then.......BG jumped up all of a sudden VERY high. Not usual for him. He doesn't act sick or anything, just hungry. The only thing that i changed was that i ran out of raw food for about a week and just started back on the raw again. Thought maybe it might be that, and stopped the raw for a day and numbers worse (400ps-UGH). SO don't know what is going on. Also, i have been trying to get him on a every 6hrs schedule and feeding him a little more each time, but not changing his total amount per day. Just must be a cat thing? Maybe he has been going too low and his liver just now kicked back in and said "WAIT...I DONT LIKE THIS?" I just don't know. Weird huh? So the celebration of the green on lasted a short time. Had a feeling i should not too excited yet. Oh well.

It could be ECID, could be a bounce from the lower numbers, could be a cat thing.....don't you just love always knowing what and when to expect? :lol:

Sometimes I think it's their job to keep us confused. :-D

So was in a rush this am to get kids out the door for a theatre performance and forgot to get the dog food off the floor. Heard the crunch, crunch...There was copper eating away as fast as he could the doggie food. Oh, no. Tested 2hrs later and he was about the same as +4. +10 got home and he was already at 404- :shock: Guess this is the doggie food talking. Or he might of gone low today OR i started back on the raw again today. Wish i knew what it was causing this mess. Hate to see tonight's pmps. Still have 2hrs to go. Oh dear.......

Yep, my vote is the dogwood as the culprit. One of the reasons we don't suggest using dry food during a hypo is that it takes a few hours to kick the bg up and then when it does, it stays awhile. Oh well, as Scarlett said, " Tomorrow's another day". :mrgreen:
 
Wow! It really does last a long time in his system. Poor guy.

Yes, tomorrow is another day! So glad i can start over again in 12hrs....
