I haven't been on because I wanted to make it to day 14 before posting any announcements. Well we did it 14 days no insulin. I will Bear's vet tomorrow and give her the good news. Bear has been doing really great, he's him old self. Much more active and constantly wanting us to pick him up and cuddle and he's patting me with his paw if I don't give him enough attention. He's just like a 2/3 y/o. Thank you soo much for all the help and information and especially of all your patience. Wouldn't have been able to do this without all f your help. And for Darcy bringing my attention to the feline diabetes group and caring so much and showing her concerns.
I'm not leaving you guys I promise.:cat::cat::cat:

Congratulations!!!!

It's too bad that you didn't continue posting though so we could cheer you on! We also have a couple of members who make the greatest OTJ video's for our kitties that make it the 14 days!

This NEVER gets old! Way to go Bear! Keep up the good work.

Congratulations! Bear's SS is gorgeous.

Remember -- no high carb food, ever!! Test on a weekly basis o make sure the numbers stay in the normal range. Once you're confident that your kitty is stable, you can reduce the frequency of testing. Anytime anything seems "off", get a test. BG levels are an early warning system for an infection or inflammation, including the need for a dental.
